Conference Introduction:
Pandemic, disruptions in ocean container shipping and geopolitics have all had a very strong impact on the air cargo volumes moving across the transpacific from Asia to North America for a very long time. But the transpacific air cargo market is set for a busier summer than usual and the last quarter of the year could see even more robust demand for air cargo due to factors such as disruption to ocean freight services in the Red Sea, a still-resilient US economy and the e-commerce boom out of China. However, when it comes to demand for air cargo, Asia continues to be on top followed by North America. In this panel, we discuss and debate with key players in the transpacific air cargo market to check the trends shaping uptick in demand and the challenges that continue to accompany them.
